Farmar is Named Player of the Week!

Former Pac-10 Frosh of the year Jordan Farmar got buckets up and down the west coast in college, got buckets in Los Angeles and New Jersey during his NBA tenure and he continues to scorch nets overseas. He is BFN’s Euroleague player of the week after an outstanding performance tonight. 25 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds in a blowout of Greek heavyweight Olympiacos. His contract overseas is worth 10.5 million over three years, that is tax-free, it’s like making nearly 20 million in the NBA. Get your bread Jordan and keep representing for West Coast hoops!

Anadolu Efes tabs Farmar at point guard

Anadolu Efes made a big move on Thursday by inking point guard Jordan Farmar to a two-year deal. Farmar (1.88 meters, 25 years old) started the 2011-12 season with Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv and averaged 14.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists in seven Turkish Airlines Euroleague games. He compiled 19 points and 6 assists in a visit to Sinan Erdem Arena as Maccabi beat Efes 72-79 in November. Farmar earned Week 3 bwin MVP honors with Maccabi after amassing 27 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 8 fouls drawn for a performance index rating of 35 in a home win against Real Madrid. After leaving Maccabi to return to New Jersey of the NBA, he averaged 10.4 points on 90.5% free throw shooting and 3.3 assists in 39 NBA games. Before joining New Jersey, Farmar played the his first four years as a pro with the Los Angeles Lakers, winning NBA titles in 2009 and 2010. Before becoming a pro, Farmar played two seasons for University of California at Los Angeles, leading the team to the NCAA’s final game in 2006. Among his philanthropic ventures, Farmar has worked at good-will basketball camps in Israel. Efes also kept an option to extend Farmar’s contract until the end of the 2014-15 season.

Simply submitting a registration form online does not guarantee a spot at camp. Please note that if you sign up online, but do not complete the entire registration packet in a timely manner, your spot may be forfeited.
